Dr. Romy Chopra graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the university’s Faculty of Dentistry.

A compassionate and enthusiastic dentist with a great sense of humor, Dr. Chopra is dedicated to providing top-quality care for patients of all ages. He continually enhances his skills through continuing education, including courses in Invisalign® (clear braces) and Lumineers® (veneers).

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chopra is passionate about sports and has played hockey and baseball since childhood.

Dr. Edward Gelfand is the founder of the Dawson Dental Centres where he has been practicing since 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

Dr. Shagufta Umair has been practicing general dentistry since 2005, graduating from KM&DC in Pakistan and obtaining her Canadian dental license in 2018. Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and with basic Punjabi, she provides personalized care focused on both function and aesthetics. 

Dr. Umair is passionate about surgery, root canal therapy, and restorative procedures, finding fulfillment in relieving pain and enhancing smiles. She creates customized treatment plans using advanced technology, with a focus on honesty, integrity, and patient well-being. 

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Umair now lives in Canada with her husband, two children, and their pet. She is committed to helping patients achieve optimal oral health in a compassionate, patient-centered manner.
