Dawson Dental in Rosedale is located on the north-west corner of Bloor Street East and Church Street in the heart of Rosedale, downtown Toronto. Access to our office is at street level. A good way to spot us is to look for the pillar outside of our building that says: Dawson Dental Centre, Rosedale Wellness, and IBM. We are conveniently located steps away from the Subway and there is also an outdoor parking lot across the street.

We are proud to offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointments to suit your busy schedule and we’ll process your dental insurance claims electronically (direct billing).

Our facility has a modern flair. Once you walk through our doors, you’ll enjoy your choice of gourmet coffees and teas while you watch TV in our comfortable patient lounge. We are equipped with elevator access and have Rosedale Wellness Centre attached to our facility, offering our patients a one-stop-shop for all your wellness needs!

Dr. Edward Gelfand, BSc, DMD, FICOI

Dr. Edward Gelfand is the founder of the Dawson Dental Centres where he has been practicing since 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

He has always been proud to provide up-to-date dentistry for his patients. With a special passion for cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Gelfand combines a scientific diagnosis of your smile with his precise artistic skill.

Dr. Edward Gelfand has dedicated his career to enhancing people’s lives both aesthetically and functionally.

Dr. Carlos Brito, DDS, MSc

Dr. Brito earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007 in Brazil where he worked for five years before moving to Canada. He was accepted for a scholarship at University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry for a Master of Science program. His research was in cell biology, molecular biology, implant dentistry and periodontology. He was able to publish over 25 articles in the dental field during his graduation time.

Dr. Brito is passionate about Cosmetic Dentistry, Implants, and Invisalign. He strives to keep up to date on all the new technologies and techniques to offer the best to his patients. He always works together with his patients to ensure a comfortable experience with every appointment. This means understanding their limitations and slowly easing them into treatment.

Born in Brazil, Dr. Brito is fluent in Português, Spanish, and English. Growing up, his mom had a dental lab, so he was exposed to the dental field from a young age. His wife and sisters are also dentists.

 

Edward (Ted) Cox, , D.D.S.

Dr. Cox earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1985 from the University of Alberta. Upon graduation, he moved to Ottawa where he was a partner in a group practice for 11 years. Since moving to the Greater Toronto Area in 1996 he has practiced in Oakville, in the Yonge and Eglinton area and in Yorkville.

With a passion for dental aesthetics, Dr. Cox completed a post-graduate program in Esthetic Dentistry at Baylor University of Texas in 1998. Dr. Cox is also certified in the BioClear Method, which is a revolutionary technique of enhancing smiles.

Dr. Cox’s philosophy is to educate and motivate his patients to make the best decisions for a lifetime of oral health. He is a lifelong learner and mentor and has a positive ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Dr. Matteo Cremonese, D.D.S.

Matteo is a graduate of York University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Psychology, Cum Laude, in 2013. He went on to study dentistry at Trinity College, University of Dublin Dental School in Ireland and graduated in 2018. Attending an Irish university allowed Matteo to learn European dental techniques, to be combined with those used in North America.

Matteo continues to improve on his skill and knowledge by keeping up-to-date on new technology and research and attending educational hands-on practice sessions to offer the best possible care for his patients. He works under evidence-based treatments and develops customized treatment plans that offer the best possible results.

Aside from dentistry, Matteo has a passion for sports and plays soccer and ice hockey. He maintains a healthy lifestyle and continues to perform his daily physical activity regime.
