Our Dentists & Specialists

Dr. Greg Walsh, DMD

Dr. Walsh grew up in Simcoe, Ontario and completed his dental degree from McGill University, graduating in 2011 with a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry.

Through his experience, Dr. Walsh has developed a passion for wisdom teeth removal because of the drastic effect this procedure can have on the patient’s comfort level and mouth health. He also enjoys Invisalign® invisible braces treatment because who doesn’t love a beautiful, straight smile? Especially when it can be achieved without the wires! Lastly, he is a proponent of dental implants for their ability to restore the function of the teeth and increase the patient’s quality of life.

Dr. Walsh lives in Toronto with his family and enjoys meeting people in the community and learning what he has in common with them.

Dr. Rola Alshawaf, BDS

Patient satisfaction is Dr. Alshawaf’s number one priority. She always goes above and beyond for her patients’ oral and overall health, providing a positive experience with every appointment. She greatly enjoys interacting with and educating kids on the importance of preventative dentistry and oral health in the early years. She loves to perform dental treatments while using age-appropriate distraction techniques.

Ironically, Dr. Alshawaf feared getting dental treatment growing up. She believes that her fear is what helped her to become the compassionate, empathetic dentist she is today. She starts any consultation with an open mind and a friendly chat. She never rushes this process as it lays the foundation for the entire dental experience. Dr. Alshawaf strongly encourages her patients to express their fears and anxieties before and during treatments. She will not hesitate to take a break if a patient needs a breather.

Raised in a household of girls who loved science, Dr. Alshawaf loved to watch Grey’s Anatomy and House. These fueled her passion for helping others using modern-day medicine. Now that she and her sisters are all health care professionals, their social gatherings are always chock-full of medical stories! Fate also led her to marry someone with the same passion for science.

Dr. Michael Schecter, DDS

Dr. Michael Schecter prides himself on working with integrity and transparency. He feels it is most rewarding to work with patients when they understand how oral health affects overall health, which is why he aims to educate as well as treat. He enjoys seeing how a healthy, natural looking smile, along with improved function, can really help boost his patients’ confidence.

Dr. Mike understands that dental anxiety is common which is why he encourages patients to take things slow. Start with a consult to work through the various treatment options. There is no judgement or pressure. At the end of the day, he wants his patients to be involved in their oral health and confident in their treatment plan.  When Dr. Mike isn’t with patients, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
