Through his experience, Dr. Al Azawi has developed a passion for dental surgeries, including implants to restore missing teeth, endodontic treatment to relieve patient discomfort and preserve teeth that would otherwise be extracted, and orthodontic and aesthetic restoration for the increased self-esteem and function they provide to his patients.

Dr. Al Azawi is compassionate and understands that many people have a fear of visiting the dentist. He advises his nervous patients that there options to help ease anxiety and ensure comfort during their appointment. These include various forms of sedation, having a family member or loved-one nearby for comfort, establishing a signal to stop treatment if the patient is suddenly feeling anxious, or even listening to soothing music. He will also take the time to discuss every step of the procedure with his patient before beginning treatment.

Fluent in English and Arabic, Dr. Al Azawi was born in Iraq and has been lucky enough to travel the world and live in various countries including Japan, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates before finally settling in Canada. He is happily married with two beautiful children.

Dr. Ivan Lo is a board certified orthodontist born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dr. Lo completed his dental school training at New York University and continued his specialty training in the orthodontics program at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Graduating with a Masters of Sciences in Orthodontics degree, Dr. Lo successfully defended his thesis centered on 3D Cone Beam CT analysis on facial asymmetries.

As an orthodontist, Dr. Lo strives to not only straighten teeth but to also build functional and long lasting smiles. Dr. Lo is well versed in orthodontic treatment utilizing braces and Invisalign and is eager to bring his extensive training to serve his community one beautiful smile at a time.

Dr. Navneet Brar was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Winnipeg and then went on to pursue Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Manitoba. She moved to Toronto, ON shortly after graduating and has been practicing dentistry in Toronto since.

Dr. Brar is passionate about providing the best care for her patients, she strives to involve her patients in their oral care and make them feel comfortable during their dental treatment. Dr. Brar has an interest in continuing education and staying up to date with the latest technology. She looks forward to providing treatment tailored to your needs. 

Dr. Brar loves to volunteer and give back to her community. She was the head of the volunteering committee while in dental school and helped plan events centered around oral health.

Dr. Fernanda Barona is a Certified Specialist in Periodontics. She received her dental degree in 2012 from the Catholic University of Guayaquil in Ecuador. It was during these years that Dr. Barona discovered her passion for treating periodontal and implant-related issues. Consequently, she completed her Masters in Craniofacial Science and post-graduate specialty training in Periodontics at the University of British Columbia in 2017. 

She is a Fellow-elect of the Royal Colleague of Dentists of Canada, and an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology. Her research interest focused on the role of leukocyte and platelet-rich fibrin on different periodontal procedures and complex implant and gingival reconstructions. 

In her free time, Dr. Barona enjoys spending time with her husband Jason, doing outdoor activities such as skiing and she is also a foodie and coffee enthusiast. 

Dr. Ko is a dedicated dentist committed to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a comfortable, welcoming dental experience. With expertise in oral surgery, endodontics, bridges, and crowns, he continues to expand his skills in implantology, including sinus lifts and immediate cases. Adaptable to new techniques, he excels both independently and in collaborative settings. Fluent in English, Korean, and Japanese, Dr. Ko is passionate about connecting with diverse communities and delivering outstanding dental care.

Dr. Edward Gelfand is the founder of the Dawson Dental Centres where he has been practicing since 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

He has always been proud to provide up-to-date dentistry for his patients. With a special passion for cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Gelfand combines a scientific diagnosis of your smile with his precise artistic skill.
